Lime Jungle: New York, NY

It’s one of my favorite quick places to grab a taco when at work, and besides being right around the corner, Lime Jungle holds the key to my taco heart…the El Dorado Taco.

What makes this taco so awesome???  It’s the combination of hard and soft shell.  Crunchy hard shell taco is stuck inside of the soft shell taco with bean paste.  So. Freaking. Good.  I’m addicted.  Seriously.

Another great feature here, is the salsa bar, with specialty salsa’s for you to try with anything you order.  I personally like the stewed tomato salsa, and usually take some to top my taco or dip some chips in.  The salsa that comes with the chips is Pico de Gallo, one of my favorites because it’s so refreshing (its like Mexican bruschetta), but everyone likes variety, and the salsa bar provides that.

While the bar and furniture here is raw and simple, the bright walls, painted with colorful people and animals make the entire space vibrate playfully.  You really can’t miss it..
