Travel Photo of the Day | 3.3.11 | Burg Eltz

Berg Eltz, Germany

The Medieval Eltz Castle continues to be owned by a branch of the same family that lived there in the 12th century.  The three branches of the castle were given to different sons of the family.  The Rübenach and Rodendorf families’ homes remain  open to the public, while the Kempenich branch of the family uses the other third of the castle.
